Mouthwash is a great tool to use if you’re interested in keeping bacteria away from your teeth. However, with so many kinds of mouthwash available, how do you choose one that best meets your needs? For instance, did you know that some mouthwashes can actually fight off bad breath, tooth decay, and even bad breath?
For example, did you know that some mouthwashes actually have alcohol in them? These mouthwashes are especially useful because, aside from freshening your breath, they can also kill the bad bacteria in your mouth. Similarly, this type of mouthwash can even brighten your smile. Unfortunately, if you choose this type of mouthwash, you may experience a slight burning sensation—especially if you have sensitive teeth.
Another popular type of mouthwash is alcohol and fluoride free. These mouthwashes are extremely useful because they can help you fight off bad breath and gum disease–without any unpleasant burning. However, because this mouthwash doesn’t have fluoride, it may not help you prevent cavities as well. Fortunately, if you’re interested, you could choose a mouthwash with fluoride that doesn’t have alcohol.
As you probably know, mouthwash itself won’t be enough. In other words, please remember that you’ll need to brush for two minutes at a time twice a day. Similarly, you should floss daily and should remember to visit our dentist at least once every six months for a routine cleaning and checkup.
